This painting explores the invisible barriers we construct with ourselves- boundaries born from fear, judgement and the longing for acceptance. The fences stay quietly between who we are and who we could become- safe, familiar and at the same time suffocating. Each post is a judgment we once believed, each bar a hesitation we never questioned. Beyond them lies the vast field of our true selves, waiting. Yet we linger behind the lines we drew for ourselves, mistaking safety for peace.

Through the interplay of structure and emptiness, the work invites viewers to confront their own thresholds- to question what keeps them contained and what freedom might feel like if they dared to step beyond.
