The painting grew out of a deep craving for connection. As an introvert living abroad, loneliness wraps around me like a second skin. Then, a trip to the seaside-surrounded by the warmth of family, friends and laughter- I carried back more than just memories. But coming back home, I was torn between joy and a haunting nostalgia. This work is my attempt to trap that feeling of ache, that bittersweet pull of shared happiness you can never quite hold onto once it's gone.
